Troubleshooting Guide
🧰 Xbox 360 / Console Troubleshooting Guide
[edit]Note: This guide is mainly for unmodded consoles or modded consoles that were working fine but suddenly stopped working without you changing anything.
⚡ Step 1: Check the basics
[edit]Before anything else, make sure you’ve checked the following:
- Power cable is fully plugged in.
- HDMI or AV cable is firmly connected.
Tip: Xenon models will show 4 red lights if no AV cable is connected.
🔌 Step 2: Does the console power on?
[edit]If NO:
- Check the power supply LED.
- • Light is green:**
Try powering on using a controller instead of the console button. If using a wireless controller, make sure it’s paired to the console. If it turns on now, you may have a faulty power button — click here to learn how to test and repair it.
- • Light is off or red:**
1. Disconnect power for 10–20 seconds, then reconnect. 2. If it’s still the same, the power supply fuse may be blown or the PSU is faulty. Try a replacement PSU or fuse. If there’s no light or it stays red even when disconnected from the console, the PSU is likely dead.
💡 Step 3: Console turns on but nothing happens
[edit]If the console powers up but doesn’t boot:
- Does it start but show no video?
* Check the HDMI or AV port for damage. * If still no picture: * On HDMI models, try using a yellow/white/red AV cable instead. * If you get video through AV, your HANA chip might need replacing. * If you have a modded console, try powering on then press Eject this disables plugins that could stop it booting.
🔴 Step 4: Console shows an error or red lights
